CSCC # 12 Let's get 'Pinspired'

Hello Everyone,

Jayashri here and I'm here to showcase my project for the current challenge here at CSCC where the theme is Let's get "Pinspired"...

We have this gorgeous pic for you and all you have to do is get inspired by the above pic

Here is my pinspired card. I was inspired by the color contrast Blue and Black
and also with the lacy material.

I have used spray technique to create the background of the card.

I have sprayed Inks generously on the black card stock, after getting desired look,
embellished it with scalloped circle and ribbon.

Hope you all got inspired.

CSCC #11 - 'LOVE SHAKE'r Cards

Hi! Nandini here, with my take on the current challenge

"LOVE SHAKEr Cards"

I love shaker cards because they are super fun, with so many possibilities. Both kids and adults love them and they are oh-so trendy right now!

I was so excited that my very first DT post was going to be a shaker card that I ended up making not 1 or 2, but 3 cards! So lets get down to them right away!

I decided to break out my stash of pattern papers which I have been hoarding forever. The stamp set is Bold Wishes from CAS-ual Fridays. I heat embossed it with Mint Green & Red Glitz EPs from Ranger and Wow respectively. The heart and circle dies are from Couture Creations. I mounted the whole thing on a piece of fun foam.

The next card was inspired by a great tutorial on non-bulky shaker cards by the fabulous Jennifer Mcguire. You can check it out here.

I have put together few pics that show the steps in making this card.

All the Couture Creations dies that I used with the die cuts.

Almost there! Notice that I have not used any foam between the acetate layers. This kept my card flat while still retaining the charm of  a shaker card.

The stamp is from A Tree for All Seasons by Winnie & Walter, embossed with Red Glitz EP by Wow!.

For the third card, I went back to my old love, sewing.

Here are the various elements that I put together to make this card.

The pattern paper is a free download that I had printed out ages ago. I stamped the sentiment from the set Wonderful Words by CAS-ual Fridays in Versamark on the vellum. Then heat embossed with Magenta Twinkle and Mint Green by EPs by Wow! and Ranger respectively. I used a zig zag stitch to make a pocket for the sequins and little hearts that I punched out. A small length of pink velvet ribbon and a doily from my stash completed the card.

So what are you waiting for? Grab your supplies and get creating. We, the Catchy Girls, are waiting to see your gorgeous creations! You can enter your cards HERE.

CCSC #8 - One card with one stampset

HI Girls, This is Jayashree here, Hope you are enjoying our current challenge - One card with one stampset. Here is my card for you as inspiration. I made this card Using Simon Says stamp set.

Here's a quick tutorial on how I created the text background,

Step : 1
Align the stamps on paper as shown and take a little bigger size acrylic block press on these stamp so that they get adhere to the acrylic block.

Step : 2
Using Versamark ink, stamp it and heat emboss it using white embossing powder.

Step : 3
Distress the edges using 2 tones, first from  Tumbled Glass and then from Peacock feather to give a tonal variation.

Hope this has inspired you to play along with us.
