CSCC #13 - "Anything goes" - DIY Paper Earring

Dear Friends,

Hope you got more ideas from our fellow DTs on our Challenge theme CSCC#13 - Anything Goes
This is shylaa here today to show you some inspiration on DIY quilled earring

Quilled Earrings are quick and easy to make. To make them waterproof takes a lot of time. But you can create and cherish your friends by creating earring for them. A few quilling strips and some earring findings are all you need to make earrings.

It is a very simple tutorial and does not require a quilling tool.

Supplies you would need
1. Quilling strips - 3mm or 5mm - 10 Nos
2. A sketch pen or OHP marker
3. Glue.
4. Basic jewelry making supplies - O rings and fish hooks
5. Beads, mirror to embellish(optional)

Step 1:

Take a single strip and roll over the sketch pen and glue it as shown below

Step 2:

Pinch at one point in the coil to make a tear drop pattern. Repeat step 1 and make 10 Nos of such tear drops.

Step 3:

Attach each tear drops together to form a flower pattern as shown below.

Step 4:

Connect the fish hooks to flower pattern with O rings and coat it with glue and varnish.

Embellish the flower as you like - Beads , mirror, tight coil .

Your quilled earring is ready.

Isn't easy to do. For more details on Quilled earring waterproofing visit Adhiraacreations

I made a small pocket Mini Album with lots of big n small Tags and Photo pages. It's measure 4x4" and used the PP scraps for tags which I got after pasting my PPs for photo space. Here is the cover of that Album..

I used 8x8" scalloped paper and cut it in half. Then I again half fold that half piece and glued the scalloped ages. As I want to make it different so used only one ring binder instead of 2. Embellished with half pearls, stamped n fussy cut butterfly and some flowers.

Now...see inside pages for pasting pics and Tags for writing..

and finally the close up pic...
Hope you like my project and don't forget to participate in our Current Challenge

P.S. I really like this super quick method of making tiny minis from 8x8" papers so I made so many mini albums repeatedly... ;)

CSCC #13 - Anything Goes

Hello Friends,

This is Poornima here. This month’s challenge theme is quite easy– “Anything Goes”. My fellow DT members have already inspired you with their pretty projects. Continuing the array of inspiration I am sharing a recycled photo frame today.

I have used three waste pieces to create this photo frame. The square piece was actually a wall art piece. The two circular pieces are taken from 2 old and damaged wall clocks. These were the frames of the wall clocks.

I have first applied 2 coats of white acrylic paint on all the three pieces. Then added pretty prima pattern papers.
I have then glued them hot glue and finally embellished with handmade flowers, die cuts , pearls and stamped images.

CSCC #13, Anything Goes..

Hi guys! Nandini here, with a little inspiration for our current challenge CSCC #13 - Anything Goes.I am sure you have been enjoying the beautiful projects that my fellow Catchy Girls have been presenting!

I have always been fascinated by the art of Origami. It is amazing how much one can do with a single sheet of paper! I also love the practical aspect of Origami. So I made some gift bags & boxes, which are perfect for holding small treats, knickknacks etc.

My first project is a gift bag. I had seen these adorable bags on Etsy a long time ago. And finally found the tutorial a few days ago (thank God for Pinterest!!). You can check it out here.

I used a square measuring 12 x 12 inches of some pattern paper to fold the bag.

I added a doily dyed with orange ink and layered a vellum circle on top. The word 'Happy' is heat embossed in black. The word 'Birthday' is die cut out of a scrap of green handmade paper.

The second bag is smaller, made of 10 x 10 inches square in dark red card stock.

I started by heat embossing the little flower ring from an Itsy Bitsy stamp set onto the red paper.

After I had folded the bag, I a large origami bow with a very thin, handmade paper. The tutorial for that is from Paper Kawai.

Here are both the bags, together.

I must warn you that origami can be quite addictive! I also ended up making a lovely hexagonal box as well. The tutorial is again from Paper Kawai.

This box is made from two sheets of A4 size computer paper.

Isn't that lid gorgeous!

And here are my three origami projects!

I hope you found my post inspiring enough to start on your own, lovely projects!

CSSC #13 - More inspiration

Hello dear friends!  This is Rahmat here, and welcome back to another brand new challenge for the month of April. So today we have a challenge, our all time favorite one..
ANYTHING GOES
RULES
1. Create any kind of paper project or DIY project..  it must be a paper craft.
2. You can enter twice
3. You can combine with other challenges
4. Last date 27th April
5. Have Fun
I chose a circular booklet to do this.
All you need is cut 4 circles, and then fold it in a quarter and cut out a quarter, leaving 1/2" both sides so that you can adhere it properly.
Once all 4 are done, you simply adhere all together, add a ribbon to tie it, it looks a circle one tiesd and be kept on a table or somewhere.
I forgot to click the pictures of the process :(
If anyone wants to know the step by step, leave me a comment, I will do later after I am done moving in to my new home and settling in....my hands and mind are full at the moment  LOL.

CSCC #`13, Anything Goes...

Hello Friends!
Happy Sunday to you all!
This is Vinita here.
Today I am sharing an altered bird house which I have created first time:) as an DT post for Catchy Challenges and the theme is anything goes!

First of all you can take any size of recycle box.
I cut off the one side part of it as shown in the picture.
Then I took a wedding invitation card, I have a lot of scraps in my stash. Measure according to your box width and height and then same measure it again from the top. Now for the hut shape I measured 2'' panel from the top and created a middle point and draw a triangle shape and for the flap I measured 0.7" and cut it now.
  Now paste both the panels.

Traced this house template on the PP. Covered it with patterned paper from each and every side as shown in the picture. I cut a through a circle at one side to create a window for the bird. I love these  papers and it coordinated so well.
I made a flap as the part of roof for the bird house. I cant really give precise measurements as it depends on the size of your box.

Now the fun part begin. Decorate your bird house. I decorated with some laces, pearled wire, leaf borders(distressed them), jute lace, borders, handmade flowers and some are from my stash. I distressed the circle edge and some of my rose flowers too.
This beautiful altered birdhouse would be a lovely décor item in any house. Use it to decorate your desk, use it as a special pencil holder, or just give it away as a piece of art.
 This is the front side.
To open the box I added a flower, lace, pink colored ribbon.

I made my own nest out of packaging material and gesso it to create some interest.
 Another view:

 Here is the inside:
Don’t you think this would make just the sweetest handmade gift?  I absolutely adore it!
So guys, I hope you really enjoyed the tutorial!
Don't forget to link your project here...
Happy crafting!!!
