Now let's put our hands together and invite our guest designer of the month

A little bit about her

Hello, I am Deepti, a UX Designer by profession and a crafter by passion. I'm from India, but currently live in Brussels, Belgium, with my husband and two girls. I enjoy everything crafty and love to experiment and try different techniques.  Although I make cards more often, sometimes I try my hands on scrapbooks, mixed media and home decor projects as well. I  really enjoy water coloring. And If I talk about my card making style then I would say .. I love trying different styles but mostly it's  clean, simple, colorful and bright :)

Please follow her on

Here is the beautiful card she made for the challenge.

What she thinks about the mood board..

I really love the colors of the mood board and as soon as I saw it, the first thing that came to my mind was the water. Voila...I got the idea for my card and created this beach scene by water coloring the background using most of the shades from the mood board. The cake image in the mood board really caught my eyes.. That's how I got the color for the  flip flops ;) Finally doodled some shells & starfish to complete the scene.

That's really a beautiful card, Deepti. I love it. The flip flops are cute and sentiment is the bomb!! Thank you so much for being our guest this month. It's so nice that you're here today with us :)

And that's all for today. I hope you guys enjoyed today's post! Please don't forget to play along the challenge. Stay Home and Happy Paper Crafting! :)

Here is the inspiration from me..

As soon as I saw the mood board the first thing that hit my mind was 'mermaids'. The color is so apt for the theme. I have this 'Mermaid Stamp from Mudra' for a long time and hence I decided to use it and apply no line water coloring technique to it. I was so inspired by Sindhu_Trapped in craft's no-line coloring and just felt like trying it again. You like it?

I started by stamping the image with Antique Linen Distress ink, created the scene with water colors. I used Distress inks - Peacock Feathers, Lucky Clover and Vintage Photo as my watercolors. I kept on adding the colors until I'm satisfied with the look.

I used Brustro Hot pressed Water color Paper. Once the watercolor is dry I went ahead and added Ranger Crystal Stickles and highlighted the image with Sakura White Gel Pen. Finally finished the card with a sentiment from the same stamp set.

I hope you liked the card and I hope you guys would play along. Thank you so much for visiting, take care and I'll see you next time :)
