Hi folks, it's Sunehra here with another Itsy Bitsy inspiration for Catchy Challenges. The theme this time is A 'Charm'ing Sketch. Challenge creator Deepti put together this fabulous sketch and we're required to create a card using the sketch and adding a charm somewhere in the project. I just LOVE the sketch and I love charms too so this was a cakewalk for me. So without delay, here's what I came up with and just below that is the sketch!
I started by layering 3 white cards one on top of the other, a style that master crafter Erum does in most of her projects so splendidly! I embossed the top half of the top layer with the Itsy Bitsy Damask folder and for the rest of the card, I used the Sew Ribbon tool to lace these fabulous crochet ribbon trims from Itsy Bitsy. Don't you think that the ribbon lacing was perfect to match the lines at the bottom of the sketch? For the shape at the top, I used an Itsy Bitsy Antique Fusion bloom with some Gardenia leaves and I gotta say I was thrilled that the colours were so complementary.
Finally for the charm, I created this full bow out of some pink organza ribbon and right at the centre I added a scissor charm. I first got this idea from one of Starr Timmons's project at the Shabby Tea Room. I loved the idea of a scissor charm and was so kicked that Itsy Bitsy had them!
Well that wraps up this post. I hope my card inspires you to enter the challenge and looking forward to your comments and feedback on this blog.
Cheers!
